A Look At Some Beautiful Wedding Venues From A Photographer’s Point Of View
I’ve been a wedding photographer for most of my working life now and worked at so many wedding venues I thought it would be a good idea to list some of these locations and link to pages where you can see some images and read up a little on the wedding venue from a photographic point of view.
This list covers just a fraction of the locations I have had the pleasure of working at. I’ve been shooting digitally for around ten years now and my back catalogue of ten years of film images prior to that have to remain in the archives for now. I’ve gone back about 18 months from my digital archives to have a representative look at different types of venue to give you an idea of the places that I work. If your venue isn’t listed here – don’t panic, I either haven’t added it to the list yet (this page is a work in progress) or I’ve not had the pleasure of working there yet. In any case, these venue mini galleries will give you an idea of the variety and type of wedding reception venues I have photographed in.
Over the years I have worked at tiny little medieval churches, 1200 seater cathedrals, chateaux and abbeys, open air weddings, London hotels, country house hotels and many different wedding venues of all kinds. I’ve covered Church of England, Jewish, Roman Catholic, Muslim, Hindu, Greek Orthodox and Humanist wedding ceremonies and all kinds of celebrations from two (yes, really!) to five hundred guests. I love to incorporate story telling images into a wedding album and I think it’s really important to set the scene pictorially and let your friends for family get a real feel of what it was like on the day.
I appreciate how difficult it is to choose the perfect venue for your wedding, It’s recommended that you visit as many as you can before making a choice. Perhaps you can visit whilst the hotel or other location is setting up for a wedding reception to get an idea of how it will look on the big day. Whether I am photographing your wedding or not I am happy to give you my opinion on the venue from a photography point of view.
The major difference between a great wedding reception location and a ho-hum operation is usually the quality of the staff. If you have good, experienced people in place it can make a huge difference even if the weather isn’t behaving itself for example.
This page will be updated so please check back and don’t hesitate to call me on 0118 9885088 if you have any questions.
