Photographing Rui and Tom’s Elvetham wedding was a joy – it’s clear how much these two are in love and how much they make each other laugh. Looking through the photographs at the end of the wedding day I could see the wonderful connection they had with each other again and again. The wedding couple and the guests had a blast – it was a day of great fun, partying and celebrating – just as it should be. The Elvetham is a favourite wedding venue of mine. It’s not too far from my studio and it’s always a pleasure to work there, the wedding team at the hotel are excellent and everything today, as always, ran very smoothly.
An Elvetham wedding in the spring is wonderful – the grounds and garden around the hotel are fantastic, there are lots of hidden corners and photogenic areas perfect for bride and groom portraits.
Some Favourite Elvetham Wedding Photographs from Today
It was difficult to choose a few favourite photographs from the wedding so I chose more than a few :) Here are some that caught my eye and the complete gallery will be available online for the family and wedding guests – drop me a line if you’d like a to know when that is.

Lots of nice touches in the beautifully decorated Oak Room.

Oops.
Today’s dashing groom.
A little light dusting of the groom before the ceremony starts.
“…so where did you find him again?”
We all know how we think we are going to feel, when we see each other for the first time at the beginning of the wedding ceremony but there’s nothing like that actual moment.
Rui (almost) loses it during the ceremony…
…but recovers well.
Confetti time!
I am biased but these bride and groom portraits are my favourite in a long while…
So happy to be finally married.
It’s always lovely when the season is apparent in the photographs. This beautiful hidden area at The Elvetham was spectacular – just the place for the wedding portraits.
Today’s beautiful bride.
Back to the wedding reception. Relaxed photos of the wedding guests are always the best way to convey something of the atmosphere of the celebrations.
The Conservatory at the hotel looked fabulous – a beautiful airy feel.
Rui waits for Tom before the start of the wedding breakfast.
Some favourite images photographed during the meal.
Time for the speeches, kicked off by Rui’s dad.
That is the “please don’t say anything embarrassing” expression…
Chris the best man does his bit.
Barbara from the Ceilidh band gives the bride and groom a couple of last minute tips.
First dance time :)
Ceilidh bands are a great way to get everyone involved in the evening. Depending on the alcohol consumption, they can get a bit err…energetic…
Thanks for inviting me to your Elvetham wedding Rui and Tom, see you soon!
