Up to London today for the wedding of Roz and Keith at the Royal Institute of British Architects in Portland Place. I’d not had the pleasure of meeting the couple beforehand (or photographing a wedding at this spacious and light venue) but I was pleased to see how relaxed Roz and Keith were about the whole wedding day . The ceremony room at RIBA is on the spacious first floor of the building with the drinks reception taking place right outside with plenty of room for the family and friends that shared the day with them. As a wedding photographer it was particularly nice to work in a place with so much lovely natural light – wonderful full length windows everywhere that made for a really nice atmosphere. Here’s just a few favourite photographs from the day –
A couple of portraits of today’s groom – far too relaxed if you ask me :)
Not long to go.
Meanwhile Roz is almost ready upstairs.
Keith and Roz decided to forego tradition and meet to come down to the wedding ceremony together. I love these images where Keith sees his beautiful bride for the first time.
Some favourite photographs from the reception.
Some relaxed group photographs – always lovely to do on the wedding day. It’s often one of those rare occasions when family and friends are together in the same place.
Time for a quick portrait session of the brand new Mr. and Mrs. outside on the terrace
The cake cut and a lovely speech by Keith.
It was raining and getting dark when I left, just time for one quick photograph to finish off a lovely afternoon.
Thanks again Roz and Keith – I hope you have a wonderful time on the Orient Express!
