On the way to Emma and Jamie’s wedding at St. George the Martyr’s Church in Newbury, I’d facebooked about how nice the weather was. Of course a deluge of biblical proportions immediately followed. Fortunately the downpour was brief and by the time I had got to the church after photographing Emma and the girls at home, blue skies and white clouds were in abundance. After the wedding ceremony I followed the bride and groom to Donnington Castle just outside Newbury for some bride and groom portraits.
Taking photographs of the newlyweds gives them a chance to have a break from the wedding celebrations for a few minutes and spend a short time together to take it all in. Donnington Castle made a great backdrop for the photography and fortunately the tourists were scarce that day. The wedding reception was at Hermitage Village Hall and as always it was a pleasure to photograph the wedding guests, family and friends during the meal and on into the evening. Emma and Jamie are off to Cornwall for a honeymoon next week which sounds fantastic. I am sure the weather will be great for them. Thanks again Emma and Jamie! See you soon.
