Wedding photography is a funny job, when the day rolls around you step into a temporary world that comes and goes in the space of hours. When you mix a luxury wedding venue, a beautiful sunny day and a happy and relaxed couple, a magical afternoon is created and it’s a privilege to be there to tell the story.
Today I was with Mel and Ed as they got married in St. Mary’s Church in Reigate and celebrated with their family and friends at the RAC Club, Woodcote Park in Epsom. After joining the girls in the morning at the RAC Club I went to find Ed and the boys, finishing up lunch in the Market Stores, Reigate. After the church ceremony it was back to the club, pausing only for a few bride and groom portraits on the long and winding Captains Drive, to join the wedding guests back at the house.
As always the afternoon seemed to be over before it began and we were inside for the wedding breakfast in The Cedar Room at the club. The marquee for the evening events was pitched right outside so it was very handy for the guests. The dancing was probably my favourite part of the day, aided and abetted by the great 29 Fingers wedding band.
Mel and Ed are a lovely couple, a pleasure to be around and I wish them all happiness in their married life.
Just a few favourites photographs here, so hard to choose :) I hope you enjoy them.
Today’s amazing wedding venue.
A few detail shots. The flowers were created by the great team at Mad Lilies.
Mel, the girls and some of the family in the morning.
Off to Reigate to find Ed and the boys.
A quick walk along the lane to St. Mary’s Church.
Along the Captain’s Drive at the RAC Club with the house in the distance.
Friends and family await.
The Cedar Room at the RAC Club looked amazing set up for the wedding breakfast.
A sneaky picture of the bride and groom taking a moment to themselves just before the meal.
Fed, watered and limbered up – time for the first dance.
Then it all went a bit mad :)
29 Fingers Wedding Band – an excellent wedding band (and I’ve heard a few).
Thanks again for having me along Mel and Ed, see you soon!
