Laura and Alistair tied the knot today at St. Mary’s in Streatley. A couple of months ago we had shot their engagement session in and around the church and hotel and it was a pleasure to return today to photograph the wedding. Laura and Al were great, the rain surprisingly held off and although it was a bit breezy, a good time was had by all. Without further ado, a few favourites from the day.
We started at home. As always, with this part of the day, I remain in the background, documenting the preparations in a low key style. It’s nice for the groom to see this part of the day as it is for the bride to see the photographs from the church before she arrives.
Off to the lovely little church of St. Mary’s in Streatley – handily right alongside the Swan Hotel on the river where the wedding reception took place.
Matt greets the guests as they arrive the church.
Matt and the boys.
I love the image below (R) – that moment before it all becomes real.
Love the expression – apologies in advance for posting this Laura :)
Off on the short walk to the wedding reception.
The beautiful riverside wedding venue of the Swan at Streatley.
The Swan has lovely manicured gardens extending down to the river and the guests had access to the boat moored alongside.
As always, it’s a pleasure to take 10 minutes or so to photograph the bride and groom alone. It’s always nice I think for them to have a little break from the socialising and be together for a few moments.
Back to the boat and the reception.
The room for the wedding meal was beautifully decorated. It’s nice to photograph a few detail shots which look really nice in a wedding album to break up the main photographs.
Have a brilliant time in South Africa and Mauritius L & A and thanks again for booking me!
These shots are amazing! Laura looked so so gorgeous that day! I especially love the ones of her getting ready, they just seem so her! xx
