Dina and Ben’s Big Day Out!
Today was the wedding day of the lovely Dina and Ben at Hampden House, an impressive country house set in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. The Crown Inn in Amersham was my first stop to cover a little of the bride’s preparations. It was nice to meet the bride’s mother and of course the bridesmaids.
Dina’s lovely dress.
Off to Hampden House – the venue provides these personalised signs for the couple which is a nice touch.
An impressive part of the house is the part that looks out onto the gardens.
The little parish church adjacent to the house where the wedding ceremony took place.
The groom Ben and his two best men.
The guests were all in the church nice and early.
There’s a hole in the church wall, tunnelled through about a metre of brick. Great to get a sneaky picture of the couple at the altar.
Freshly married and released into the wild.
Before the wedding car went, we borrowed it for a few photographs.
Today’s lovely bride.
A few little details from around the house and the wedding reception.
The wedding reception – a few photographs from the celebrations on the lawn.
Into the meal. The dining room had been redecorated earlier this year and looked amazing. A definite step up from the old colour scheme.
Best Man Chris announces the speeches.
Dina’s Dad, over from Greece for the wedding kicks things off.
The front entrance of Hampden House looking great in the late afternoon sun,
Flinging the flowers – who’s the lucky girl going to be?
From the pictorial evidence I’d say that she is pretty pleased..
Chris demonstrates his best surfing poses for the education of the wedding guests.
First dance time.
It’s a new dance move the young people are doing these days.
Here’s a slideshow of the day
Thanks again for a great day out Ben and Dina and I hope to see you soon!
