Katherine and Chris got married today at All Saints Church in Crowborough and the reception was held at the High Rocks just outside Tunbridge Wells. As usual the photography started off in the morning at Katherine’s parents house. It’s always nice that the groom gets to see a little bit of his fianceé’s morning.
It was a beautiful spring day in Kent, just perfect for wedding photography with some light clouds to take the edge off the sunshine. Katherine and Chris were great to work with – pretty relaxed, which is a great way to approach the wedding day.
Here are a few images that caught my eye. If you were at the wedding and would like to know when the complete gallery will be uploaded, just CLICK HERE and I will drop you a line.
A couple of favourite morning photographs
The lady in the picture is Katherine’s grandmother, sadly no longer with us. I thought it was nice to include this in the composition.
The beautiful bride.
It’s very exciting being a bridesmaid. You get to dress like a princess, get spoiled rotten and don’t get told off (too much) for running around all day.
Katherine and her sister Helen – veil down, ready to go.
Just time for a quick shot of Chris before Katherine turns up.
All Saints Church in Crowborough has a beautiful, light interior.
Freshly married and into the Rolls.
We took a short walk around the High Rocks, a national monument next to the venue.
The new Mr. and Mrs.
Katherine.
Here’s a few favourites from the wedding reception at High Rocks.
A wedding group photograph. I love photographing these because I know that in 30 or 40 years, these will be among the most treasured photographs from the day. I always like to quickly organise these so you don’t have the dreaded ‘football team’ lineup. It’s great how everybody is on different levels in this relaxed image and this makes it more interesting to look at as a photograph.
Thanks Katherine and Chris, enjoy your honeymoon!
