I was at the Millhouse Hotel again today, a wedding venue not far from me, photographing Catherine and Richard’s lovely autumn wedding. I started the day at the local hair salon with Catherine and the girls. I’m always reminded how the boys have it easy at this time of the day!
The weather forecast had not looked good in the week prior to the wedding and I think we were all prepared to spend the day inside but I am pleased to report that it was amazing for this time of year. The gardens at the hotel, bordered by the river and old brick walls are a lovely place to mingle and chat to the wedding guests it would have been a shame not to be able to enjoy that part of the venue.
Here are some wedding photographs from the day that caught my eye and the complete gallery will be uploaded soon.
At Chandlers Hair Salon in Spencers Wood in the morning.
Up to the Mill House Hotel in nearby Swallowfield to find Richard and the boys.
Beautiful bridesmaids (L) and (R) that moment at the start of the ceremony just before your bride comes down the aisle….
Catherine is going to kill me but I love this little sequence of images during the ceremony.
Once the registrars had left, a friend of the couple gave a lovely blessing to the newlyweds.
Some reception favourites. Blessed with good weather we were able to enjoy the gardens at the back of the hotel.
The brand new Mr. and Mrs. and I took a little walk down through the garden to where it joins the river for a few relaxed portraits.
It’s great during the speeches to photograph the guests listening as well as the people make the speech. Richard gets stitched up here by his sons….
Thanks again Catherine and Richard, I hope you have a lovely time in Amsterdam.
