Englemere in Ascot is a beautiful wedding venue and one that I’ve worked at many times before. I hadn’t been there in about ten years so it was a pleasure for Saturday to roll around and head out to photograph Sian and Andy’s wedding celebrations. The day started in Binfield – it’s always a privilege to be around in the morning for the preparations.
These moments in your life go so swiftly and I think it’s wonderful to look back on (and for your other half to see) the pre-ceremony preparations. Life’s high points have a habit of reminding you that things will never be quite the same again and it’s lovely to be around at that time and tell the story of that part of the day.
Sian and Andy were great to work with and the friends and family were welcoming too. I think everyone had a terrific time (including me). Luke, the vicar at All Saints in Binfield conducted a memorable service and after some family photographs we were off to Englemere in Ascot for the reception. It’s the perfect place for a summer wedding – wonderful for the guests to wander through the grounds. It’s one of those venues that has plenty of room inside and out and from my viewpoint it all went really well. Thanks again Sian and Andy – see you when you get back.
