Caroline and Owen – what a great couple. It was a real pleasure to photograph at their wedding at the beautiful Elvetham Hotel in Hampshire. Here’s my favourite 100 frames from the day. Thanks again C and O!

    Simon,

What can we say?! The photos are fantastic and we cannot thank you enough for the amazing job you did, not just with the pictures but on the day as well.

Prior to the day you were incredibly helpful, talking through what we wanted in detail  but providing advice and support when we needed it.
On the day you were fantastic. You were friendly and professional and I don’t think the groom and his ushers would have made it to the ceremony on time if you hadn’t been there in the morning!
We don’t know how you did it but all day you were literally everywhere without anyone really noticing which has meant that you’ve captured some really beautiful, natural shots of us all laughing, talking, embracing and dancing! It is probably these shots that we will cherish the most (just like you said we would)!
Even post wedding you have  been great, keeping us updated on how the pictures were coming along. The slide show has hugely impressed us and our family and friends and we cannot wait to pick the album – although there are so many amazing shots, this may take some time!
Thank you again and we will certainly be recommending you to friends and family,
    Owen and CarolineReplyCancel

Hi Caroline and Owen, thank you so much for your kind comments – you have me blushing :) It was really a great pleasure to share the day with you, it was great wasn’t it? I do hope the photographs will bring you much pleasure in the years and decades to come.ReplyCancel

Cheryl and Nick got married today at St. Barnabas’ Church in Emmer Green near Reading. We all know how unpredictable the weather has been this year but the deluge that descended half an hour before was…biblical. Nick and the boys were in a nearby pub (an old wedding tradition I thoroughly approve of) and when…

Better late than never – I’ve just finished putting together this photofilm of Rui and Tom’s terrific Elvetham wedding day. There’s a little bit of ceremony footage included which adds a nice variation to the the stills. Thanks again for being brilliant Tom and Rui – I hope you enjoy!

One of the main reasons for commissioning a professional wedding photographer is of course to provide images that will be their most valuable many years after the wedding when your own personal recollections are fading a bit, the details become a bit hazy and your memories of the day start to lose their clarity and…

Thanks for your kind words Leigh and Dave. It was a lovely day wasn’t it? Speak to you soon, Simon.ReplyCancel

An Intimate Spring Wedding near Swallowfield in Berkshire. I first met Leigh and Dave a few months ago, we’d swapped emails and they had come to visit me at my studio to chat about the wedding. They’re a lovely couple, it was the second time around for both of them and it was clear during…

Photographing Rui and Tom’s Elvetham wedding was a joy – it’s clear how much these two are in love and how much they make each other laugh. Looking through the photographs at the end of the wedding day I could see the wonderful connection they had with each other again and again. The wedding couple and…

It’s hard not to be disappointed when the weather forecast isn’t looking good for your big day but if it affected Simon and Kirsty, they didn’t let it show. In the end we got through the ceremony and everyone safely to the beautiful marquee reception at the brides parents house in Crowthorne before it started…

It’s not uncommon long after the wedding to forget bits of the day. Not usually, as can happen, due to excess consumption of alcohol :) but to the anticipation, the nerves, just the whole intensity of the ceremony. It’s a different story once the celebrations have started but the actual wedding itself can for some…

A whirlwind romance :)   Lou and Richard tied the knot today at Herons Farm, a lovely rural barn wedding venue in Berkshire. They’ve been engaged almost 17 years so today’s wedding celebration was a long time coming! Herons Farm, co-located with riding stables is an informal, laid back rustic location which lends itself to…

Love the photos. You’ve exactly captured the day. Can’t wait until I can see all of them. Tried for years to take current photo of my son and Lou and so thank you for doing such a beautiful job.ReplyCancel

Did these two enjoy their wedding day? Erm, yes, yes they did :)  It was a true pleasure photographing Karla and Michael’s wedding day at Taplow House Hotel near Maidenhead. It was clear they had a fantastic wedding day and it will be something precious to remember for many decades to come. When you get…
